Overview

The East Asian Association of British International Schools (EAABIS) is an organisation which promotes excellence, high achievement and good practice based on the English National Curriculum and associated UK based examinations. It facilitates quality in-service training to enhance the professional development of staff and provides opportunities for students, staff and parents of different cultures to interact for educational, sporting, artistic and cultural events, celebrating the internationality of its member schools.

EAABIS requires that all full members shall arrange to undergo a process of quality assurance (as soon as practicable) but after five years at the latest. Quality assurance (inspections) can be by OFSTED, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) or an organisation that is recognised as providing a similar standard of quality assurance as one of these bodies.
